THREADING EXAMPLE 001. [22 Jul 2010|12:30pm]

DEIRDRE ERIN HALE.
via ~bewitchery

It had been a long afternoon, that was for sure. Erin had been complaining a few days ago that she hadn’t had any business and all of a sudden she was swamped with it. It was a relatively small garage, only big enough for one – maybe two – mechanics at the most, and right now, Erin was the only one on duty. She had been doing oil changes, break relining and tune ups all morning. She had finished the easiest ones first, just so that she could get the customers out of the waiting room, and with her promise of free coffee.. she was probably going to be losing money instead of earning it. She had only meant for it to be a joke among her friends, but she felt bad for making people wait so long for their cars so she almost always chipped in for the coffee. Needless to say, Erin took the chance at a break when she realized that she finally had the time to stop and get something to eat. There weren’t any customers waiting inside and the cars that she had left to finish, the owners had simply said they’d be back in a couple of hours so she had some spare time to kill.

With that, Erin took off to the back to eat a bite of her sandwich when she heard a car pull up. She hadn’t even started eating yet! She practically wined at not being able to take her lunch break, and desperately realized how sweet another mechanic working at the garage would be right now. She sighed as she threw down her food and headed towards the front. She could hear some mumbling and there was a loud clanging sound that made her jump. Before she even turned the corner, she realized who it was based upon the deep sound of his voice and the tone. It was Lindsay MacQueen, and the realization made her purse her lips. She crossed her arms over her chest as she stepped out front. She had unzipped the front of her jumpsuit so that the top part was hanging around her waist. To say it was dirty was an understatement, which was why she didn’t want that thing around her food.

“Oh,” Erin said, drawing out the word and stepping into view. “It’s you. What do you want now?” she asked, acting a little annoyed – and maybe even more annoyed by the fact that it was MacQueen – as she raised an eyebrow at him.

she was immature, unruly, out of his league. and she didn’t like him. she found him insufferable. annoying. immature. out of her league... )
